ICYMI: Retirements mean another round of elections is coming

MADISON – Just when you thought Wisconsin had arrived at a momentary reprieve in elections, the retirements begin.
Rep. Mark Honadel, R-South Milwaukee, announced Tuesday that he’s retiring from the Legislature after 10 years “to pursue an opportunity in the private sector.”

That follows Assembly Majority Leader Scott Suder’s announcement last week that he was stepping down to take his new post as the Public Service Commission’s division administrator forWater Compliance and Consumer Affairs.
That means at least some Wisconsinites can look forward to a special election in their area to replace their local assemblyman.
