WI police cite, fine Solidarity singers during Capitol protest
MADISON – The Solidarity Singers got a case of the Folsom Prison Blues on Tuesday.

But Capitol police did issue 25 no permit citations to 22 people during the Solidarity Sing Along that’s held in the Capitol rotunda at noon each week day.

And a Solidarity Sing Along administrator posted this on the group’s Facebook site Tuesday afternoon, along with a note, “Just sayin’.”
The citations, which carry a $200.50 fine, are the latest kerfuffle in an ongoing battle between the police and the singers who began gathering at the Capitol in March 2011 to protest Gov. Scott Walker’s collective bargaining changes.
