Wisconsin GOP senators have strong financial lead in early fundraising

MADISON – The early-money game isn’t looking good for Democratic senators, a Wisconsin Reporter analysis of newly released campaign finance reports shows.
For the first half of 2013, the 10 Republican state senators raised $206,640, compared to the $55,821 the seven Democratic Senate incumbents totaled.

That averages $20,664 raised per GOP senator, versus just $7,974 raised per Democratic senator, 16 months before they face re-election.
