After no one picked all six winning numbers, the new Powerball prize for the Saturday, May 18, drawing is now $600 million, which makes it the highest Powerball jackpot ever — and the second-highest U.S. lottery jackpot. The numbers drawn Saturday night were: 10, 13, 14, 22, 52 and the Powerball was 11. The one-time cash payout is estimated at $376.9 million. Two 12-year-old boys have organized the daylong tournament to raise money for their former coach Bob Aker, who was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease.
Youth sports coach Bob Aker always supported Josh Glazer and Adam Sadoff during swim practices and basketball games at the Jewish Community Center. Now that Aker has been diagnosed with ALS – or Lou Gehrig's disase – the 12-year-old Mequon boys want to be there for their former coach and give him emotional and financial support. That's why the two Lake Shore Middle School students decided to organize a three-on-three basketball tournament this weekend called Buckets for Bob. The Village Board approved a demolition contract that calls for the Bridge Lane Ravine footbridge to be removed no later than Oct. 15.
The removal of the Bridge Lane Ravine Footbrdige will cost $228,200, according to Fox Point Now. The Fox Point Village Board on Tuesday night entered into a $187,700 contract – about $150,000 less than anticipated – for the demolition and removal of the footbridge. Trustees signed a separate $40,500 contract with Ayres Associates to inspect the demolition process and prepare contract documents. Trustees Beverly Bell, F.R. Dengel and Christine Symchych voted against the contract with Ayres, according to NOW, because two contractors seemed unnecessary. Public Works Director Scott Brandmeier said Ayres is hired to make sure the work is done appropriately and to address any issues that may come up. The contractor, C.W. Purpero, plans to …
