Photos: Wisconsin Labor, a Contemporary Portrait at Cardinal Stritch University

Six Wisconsin artists capture the real meaning of the Wisconsin workforce.

A total of six Wisconsin photographers were asked to create a portrait of Wisconsin Labor, a look at the diversity and nature of real Wisconsin work.  The works of Tim Abler, chair of Cardinal Stritch University's visual arts department, along with Dick Blau of Milwaukee, David Heberlein of River Falls, J. Shimon and J. Lindemann of Manitowoc, and Jamie Young of Madison will be on display in the Northwestern Mutual Art Gallery from Sept. 23 through Nov. 6.

Fox Point-Bayside Patch is featuring a weekly recap of the top stories from April 17-23. UPDATED: Two Accidents on I-43 ; Car vs. Semi and Jaws of Life Required for Second Accident Around 3 p.m. Thursday, two vehicles crashed in independent accidents on Interstate 43 between Brown Deer Road and County Line Road. The first vehicle skidded up onto the grass and rolled and the second incident occurred about one mile south, where a car sideswiped a semi-truck. Both drivers were safely extricated with help from the North Shore Fire Department with only minor injuries. Check out the story for photos and a video at the crash site.
