Fox Point Man Has 2 Cars Stolen, 2 Cars Recovered

In each case, the car was unlocked with keys inside. And in each case, the same person was driving it when it was recovered.

A Fox Point man was the victim of two car thefts in three weeks, but the vehicles were recovered each time — and the same person was in each car. According to police reports: Officers responded to the 6900 block of Bartlett Lane on July 19 after a caregiver at the home reported a car stolen. She told police she had seen the 2010 black Mercedes SUV parked next to her van in the driveway about 5:15 p.m.; an hour later she came outside and saw the SUV missing and a bicycle now laying in the driveway. Her van was also rifled, but nothing was taken. The car’s owner then spoke with police and confirmed that the car was unlocked and a set of keys was left in the glove box. It was a similar circumstance to a July 2 incident a few blocks away. …

Stolen Fox Point Cadillac Recovered in Milwaukee

The thief stole the car from a recently deceased man's home. All that was left in place of the stolen car was the bike the thief rode in on.

A Fox Point man coping with the loss of his father was also the victim of theft when a Milwaukee man swiped the late father's Cadillac.  The victim spoke to Fox Point police on July 2, saying someone had stolen his late father's bronze Cadillac. The vehicle was parked in the 7100 block of North Barnett Lane, unlocked, in the driveway in the rear of the home, with the keys in the center console. He said the vehicle had been parked there for the past several months while he was settling his father’s estate. He last saw the car on June 27 and noticed it was missing around 1 p.m., but didn’t report it missing right away because he believed a family member had borrowed it. A bicycle was all that was left where the car had been parked.  On July …

If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: On March 4, a Bayside police officer was on patrol near North Port Washington Road and West Brown Deer Road when he spotted Sanders driving a Buick Century that had been reported stolen. The officer followed the car until Sanders pulled into a driveway in the 400 block of West Ellsworth Lane and was arrested. Sanders’ mother reported the car stolen, saying her son had taken it …

Two Teens Caught in Theft of Parent's Jeep

They tried to burglarize a Fox Point garage, then led police on a chase using the K9 unit that ended near Cardinal Stritch University.

After a lengthy chase through Fox Point, a Whitefish Bay and Glendale teen were cited after stealing a jeep and rummaging through a Fox Point garage. At 7 p.m. Jan. 8, a woman in the 200 block of West Indian Creek Court in Fox Point returned home to find a young man running down her driveway from the open garage, jump into a Jeep and take off. According to the Fox Point police report, the driver of the Jeep actually waved to the homeowner as she drove into the driveway. After the teen took off, she went into the garage and noticed the passenger-side door of her husband's car was ajar. A leather wallet with no money in it was missing from the car. While a Fox Point officer was interviewing the woman, a dispatcher told officers that Glendale…

Sarah- Maybe I wrote something that was misinterpreted, but I took the articles to mean that there were only 2 involved as well. Any reason why the WFB teen got or seemingly got off so easy? They both were on hunt for places/garages to rob; they fled the scene of the "crime", they eluded police as they were being chased and it was a lengthy one from what the article states. Why not a barrage of …   more ›
