Video: Early Morning Coyote Sighting in Fox Point

After possibly catching something to eat, this critter took a walk down Lake Drive.

Coyotes have been a hot topic in Fox Point and Bayside, especially when residents began noticing their smaller pets began to go missing. But since then, Capt. Scott McConnell with Bayside Police has been making house calls and trying unique methods of deterring the critters  - such as using wolf urine. In August, Bayside held a coyote informational meeting and had two special guest speakers attend to help educate residents. PJ Winkelmann of Advanced Wildlife Control, LLC spoke about when it's appropriate to consider removing coyotes and Tom Issac of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources helped teach residents how to properly identify coyotes, as sometimes they are mistaken identified as foxes or other animals.  This YouTube video …

I don't know. It looked like a deer at one point and then at the end like rudolph the red-nosed reindeer taking off. Still not convinced.   more ›
