Nicolet Students Putting Pen to Paper

Four student-athletes signed letters of intent Friday for St. Louis University, University of Iowa, University of Akron and McHenry College.

In front of around 60 friends, family, and coaches inside the D-Wing Library of Nicolet High School, four student-athletes signed their letters of intent Thursday. Briana Gray (Basketball, St. Louis University), Calli Head (Diving, University of Iowa), Jessica Kloehn (Volleyball, University of Akron) and CJ Putterman (Baseball, McHenry College) all signed their letters of intent to commit to those universities. Chris Dempsey is Calli Head's diving coach and said she's a "great asset to the team." Gray had transferred into Nicolet before the 2011 season and made an immediate impact. Gray averaged 10 points per game playing in 23 of 24 games.  Rick Dekeyser, head basketball coach, knew he had something great on the court when Gray …

Knights Update

Nicolet Swimmer and Diver Heading to State

200 medley relay team sets new school record.

The girls swim team season this year was very successful. At Saturday's WIAA Sectional meet at Cedarburg High School, the 200 medley relay relay team of Grace Wilkie, Sophia Jokumsen, Sarah Zelazoski, and Christa Rumbaugh set a new school records, however it wasn't fast enough to qualify for the state meet. Qualifying for state, however, were Kim Charles in diving and Christa Rumbaugh who bettered her top five board times in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.    The dance team competed in their first dance competition this past weekend at the annual MSOE Raider Invitational, placing second overall in the high school pom division. In the soloist division, senior Emily Eiseman placed sixth for her lyrical routine and senior Rebecca Johnson …
