From Heart Attack Victim to Heart Hero
Following a heart attack, open heart surgery and the birth of her twin daughters all in the same day, Eliz Greene became an advocate for women's heart health.
Already on bed rest due to complications with her twin pregnancy, Fox Point resident Eliz Greene – who was then a 35-year-old dance teacher and choreographer – had planned to spend the next couple months bored, but otherwise relatively healthy while she waited to give birth. Then, the worst happened. After feeling some small discomfort in her chest, she was suddenly overcome with incredible pain due to a severe heart attack that threatened not only her life, but also the lives of her two unborn daughters.
