Editor's Note: This letter was sent from the Parrott family in Fox Point. To all 'Audreyness' supporters, Last year we moved to Fox Point because we knew it had wonderful schools, a home with enough space for our three beautiful children, and we heard it was a great community. This past six weeks we learned first hand what a truly amazing community it is and are so proud to call it our home! At the beginning of October, we were told our eight-year-old daughter, Audrey, had leukemia and our world turned upside down. Her diagnosis and recent treatments have been physically difficult for her and emotionally difficult for our whole family. However, not a day goes by that we do not receive the much needed love and support from family, friends…

After months of worrying he would lose his job in December, and with it the family's insurance, Chad Parrott is excited to announce his employment has been extended and therefore, his insurance - helping to save his daughter, Audrey.
As hundreds ban together for Audrey Parrott, an 8-year-old girl from Fox Point with leukemia, her family was fearful of how they'd continue to approach the ongoing and expensive medical care their daughter would need. Chad Parrott, Audrey's father, was going to lose his job in December and along with it, the family's insurance. But just a few weeks ago, Chad got a phone call from his current employer, Stark Investments. "They’ve extended my contract at Stark through June as well as extending some insurance benefits," Chad said. "It’s a testament to Brian (Stark) and Mike’s (Roth) commitment to not only running a good business, being good humanitarians." Audrey Parrott was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and although her family has only lived in the school district for a year, hundreds banded together to raise more than $7,000 for her ongoing medical costs Sunday.
Roughly 500 people ran and walked Sunday, many with puppies in hand, to help Audrey Parrott, the 8-year-old Stormonth student who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in early October. In just 2 ½ weeks, Nicolet High School students Jared Smith and Jessica Luecke organized the 5K Run/Walk to raise money to purchase Audrey a wig and help her family with mounting medical bills. "I'm amazed that these high schools kids put this together as quickly as they did," Dan Westfahl, Stormonth Elementary principal said. "Seeing how the community has rallied around, we're estimating there's been 500 people here at least."
