Tuesday is National Cheeseburger Day. To celebrate, check out these fun facts about the cheese covered sandwich.

Americans love cheeseburgers, evidenced by the number of burger joints in communities big and small. Tuesday is National Cheeseburger Day and what better excuse to bite into a juicy burger topped with American, cheddar or Swiss. To celebrate National Cheeseburger Day, here are some fun facts to bite into: The largest cheeseburger ever made in the world weighed in at a whopping 777 pounds. Created June 2, 2011 at the Alameda County Fair in California by Juicy's, the giant burger also featured 50 pounds of cheese. The bun alone weighed in at 272 pounds. Wisconsin is No. 5 in Screaming for Ice Cream

Wisconsin spends a lot on frozen dairy treats, but the Dairy State isn't No. 1 in spending for the sweet treats.

Wisconsinites and those of us in the Milwaukee area love our ice cream, but apparently we fall far short of the folks in the nation's capitol. In celebration of July being National Ice Cream month, data and survey website Bundle.com recently looked into which cities and states spend the most on ice cream. Wisconsin came in third place behind the District of Columbia and (seriously?) Rhode Island, the smallest state in the union. Milwaukee placed fifth among cities, bowing to Long Beach, CA; Dallas; Philadelphia; and Columbus, OH. Wisconsin consumes 26 percent to 50 percent more than the average American, according to the study.   The website examined all households that had a credit card transaction at ice cream and frozen yogurt vendors. …

From Fox Point to L.A., John Scheinfeld Takes on Next Major Step in Hollywood Career

Fox Point native takes on iconic legend, Elvis.

Fox Point native and Hollywood filmmaker John Scheinfeld is taking the next big step in his carrer as a documentry film maker by working on one of the most iconic subjects in the world, Elvis Presley. Scheinfeld, who's documentaries have shown at theatres worldwide, is best known for his projects like, The U.S. vs. John Lennon (2006) and Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin’ About Him?) (2006). But his potential biggest claim to fame, will be directing Fame & Fortune, a film based on the book Elvis: Still Taking Care of Business (2007) written by Presley's bodyguard, Sonny West. This project is an indie film with a “nice budget,” according to Scheinfeld, and he is currently rewriting the script to bring it more in alignment …
