A Thank You To All 'Audreyness' Supporters

A note from the Parrotts as they continue to help their 8-year-old daughter, Audrey, through her battle with leukemia.

Editor's Note: This letter was sent from the Parrott family in Fox Point.  To all 'Audreyness' supporters, Last year we moved to Fox Point because we knew it had wonderful schools, a home with enough space for our three beautiful children, and we heard it was a great community. This past six weeks we learned first hand what a truly amazing community it is and are so proud to call it our home!  At the beginning of October, we were told our eight-year-old daughter, Audrey, had leukemia and our world turned upside down. Her diagnosis and recent treatments have been physically difficult for her and emotionally difficult for our whole family. However, not a day goes by that we do not receive the much needed love and support from family, friends…

Talking About Love, Relationships and 'Sexy and I Know It' With Your Kids

Does your 8-year-old sing along with “Sexy and I Know It”? Does your 10-year-old and his friends play Tomb Raider just for the, uh, visuals? It’s easy for elementary-age children and tweens to get confusing messages about love, sex and relationships — Sunday School offers one perspective and “Glee” the opposite.  How do you help children straighten it all out?
