Harold J. “Stretch” Luedeman passed way Monday at the age of 90. The longtime resident of Fox Point was known as Stretch and Hal, his nicknames, which were appropriate for his athletic and social stature. Luedeman attended Murray State College in Murray, KY where he participated in their football and basketball programs and was a 1946 graduate of Lawrence University lettering in four sports. He was an active member of Phi delta Theta. He served his country during WWII as a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater on the U.S.S. Bunker Hill. His seven major naval engagements were throughout the Southwest Pacific. He returned to enter the Naval VP2 officers program at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. Luedeman was …

Richard J. Stoller, Ph.D. entered Eternal Life on January 28, 2013 at the age of 89 and will be greatly missed by his family. Dick lived through the depression and experienced the hardships that came with it. He was an outstanding athlete and once dreamt of playing professional baseball. He continued to play softball into his forties. He graduated from Washington High School in the middle of WWII and at nineteen was taken out of his world on Milwaukee’s near north side and was dropped into the South Pacific Theater where he saw action in New Guinea and Luzon in the Philippines, being some of the first troops to arrive at Bataan with the 38th Division. Sophie Grochowski was a longtime, former resident of Glendale. Beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Lester J. Wilie passed away Saturday at 97 years old. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Anita (nee Arnstein). He was a dear father of Nancy (Frank) Zacharias of Boca Raton, FL., and Lewis (Sandra) Wile of Waukesha.
