Funny...the company I work for has just recently hired 4 full-time and 2 part-time manufacturing positions. (Making a total of 57 full-timers, with good benefits.) We are also slated to break ground on a 50,000 sq. ft addition in January, and our 2012 sales have increased 16.1% over 2011. (To over $36MM.) 2013 is also expected to be a record year. Drunk Driver Suspect in Bayside Ditch Swears He's Home in Pewaukee

He tried to wave off the man knocking on his car window until he realized it was a police officer. Then he rolled down the wrong window and dropped the credit card he tried to hand over as ID.

A Pewaukee man swore over and over again to Bayside police early Saturday morning he was at home in Pewaukee - really, he was in a ditch along Lake Drive.  Police found the silver Ford Focus on the west side of the road in a patch of trees facing near East Donges Bay Road and North Lake Drive around 6 a.m. There was a man sleeping in the driver’s seat according to the police report. An officer knocked on the window for about a minute but the man didn’t move. The report says he eventually turned his head and waved for the officer to go away. After several more attempts, he finally realized the man knocking on his window was a police officer and he began to open his window. He opened the rear window first, then the front drivers side. The …

Nuitari... there's a guy on Facebook by the name of Benjamin Riche who started an event page about that. I think that's a real fear and quite frankly, I contacted him but he then made some disparaging remark about the Onion being interactive. I tried... but I think you are right. If you have any ideas on who to talk to... I'm listening.   more ›

Been there done that: I take it you are using every ounce of your 99 weeks of unemployment? Any decent employer will not hire someone like you, even at $10-12/ hr. Your best bet is get used to saying,"Would you like fries with that?" Though I doubt you are the type to want to work for a living, what page(s) is your signature on?   more ›

Bayside Middle School Starts a Flash Mob

A group of students at Bayside Middle School decided to see what they could accomplish with teamwork.

For a service learning project and to promote the Variety Children's Charity, 20 Bayside Middle School students performed a flash mob at the Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee on May 18. The students had been working on a collaborative project on the story "Three Cups of Tea," by Greg Mortenson. Instead of doing a traditional presentation, they decided to go mainstream and start a flash mob. Students from Mrs. Williams class at Bayside Middle School headed out to Pewaukee for a flash mob. Here are a list of stundents who participated in this event: Joe DeLia Quinn Rosen Craig Carey Rachel Grove Katherine Quam Pryia Sankar Lane McLaughlin Jacob Cohen Jack Melchert Matt Levy Sam Choice Erin Wathen Alex Jensen Eli Cohen Nic Wahl Meredith …
