Police Report: Private Moving Sale Provides Free Laptop to Thief

A Fox Point man held a moving sale for his mother and while the computer was left in a bedroom with the door closed, someone decided to include that item in the sale.

A Fox Point man held a private moving sale for his mother and when many of the for-sale items were gone, discovered that his work laptop was as well. According to the report: A 50-year-old man hosted a private moving sale for his mother in the 100 block of East Bradley Road on Saturday. He told Fox Point Police that people began arriving at the home about 7:30 a.m. and continued to 3:30 p.m., when the sale ended. After the sale was over, he couldn't find his laptop computer which he uses for work. He said he had kept it in the back bedroom with the door closed and that bedroom was not open to the public.
