Patch Readers Pick Pandl's for Best Brunch Award

Out of 11 different restaurants, Patch readers chose the longtime Whitefish Bay restaurant as the best spot for weekend breakfast or brunch in the North Shore.

After earning the prestigious title of Best Fish Fry in the North Shore, Jack Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn can now say it also offers the best brunch in the North Shore. This past week, we asked Patch readers to choose from 11 different restaurants in the North Shore to determine which has the best breakfast or brunch offerings. Hubbard Park Lodge had a huge lead through Thursday night, but come Friday morning, Pandl's had slipped into the lead, winning with 22 votes to Hubbard Park's 20 votes. Jack Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn has been serving Whitefish Bay and the North Shore for 95 years. The restaurant is open for brunch on Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Although the best brunch contest is over, there is still plenty of time to rate …

VOTE: Where's the Best Place for Brunch?

Don't skip breakfast. And on a laid-back weekend morning, don't rush it, either. We'd like to know where you most enjoy starting off your day (or holiday).

Mother says breakfast is the most important meal of the day. She also says that brunch is the most important meal of the year – the one you take her to on Mother's Day morning. We asked you to balance out those breakfast-and/or-brunch imperatives and nominate your favorite place for a relaxing, take-your-time Saturday or Sunday morning tucker-in. Help Patch name the best spot for a weekend breakfast or brunch by joining in our Readers' Choice contest this week. We've pulled together a list of some of the best spots in the immediate North Shore area, but we need your help choosing the winner. Here's how you can join in: You've got until 9 a.m. Friday to share your favorite. We'll post the winner Friday afternoon.

Readers' Choice: Weekend Breakfast or Brunch

Which restaurant serves your perfect weekend breakfast? Whether it's an early-morning coffee and pastry, sweet French toast or savory egg dish, Patch is looking to name the best spot for a weekend breakfast/brunch in the North Shore.

One of the biggest brunch days of the year is on its way: Mother's Day. But really, every weekend is an excuse for a great breakfast or brunch out.  During the week, breakfast might be a granola bar eaten in the car on the way to work, but on the weekend, people tend to make time to eat. Pancakes, French toast, eggs, pastries and slowly sipping coffee are perfect for weekend trips to your favorite dining spot.  Patch wants to find out your North Shore favorites, so tell us in the comments. We're taking submissions through noon Monday. Voting will take place Tuesday-Friday, with a winner named at the end of next week.

I just got back from Walgreens and noticed on an end cap they were selling pre-made margaritas in those juice type boxes/containers. Ingredients, among other things: Water, Wine, Sugar & dehydrated strawberries or whatever fruit one chose. I'm sure that's a little slice of heaven waiting to be tapped into. So really, who needs ice. Though, if in a jam, one can always stop at a gas station in …   more ›
