Milwaukee Man Charged in 2011 Burglary of Fox Point's Aurora Clinic

Michael George Jones, 30, allegedly stole electronics from the health care clinic just one week after the items were installed. If convicted, he faces up to 12 ½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

A 30-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly broke into a Fox Point health care clinic in July 2011 and stole electronic items recently installed as part of a renovation. Michael George Jones was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday with one count of burglary. If convicted, he faces up to 12 ½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: An employee coming to work on July 21, 2011, at the Aurora Health Care Clinic, 8675 N. Port Washington Rd., arrived to find a window smashed and two, 70-inch flat screen televisions sitting outside. More Than $30,000 in Electronics Stolen from Aurora Construction Site

Police have shoeprints and fingerprints, but no suspects yet.

It's not a common occurrence in a village the size of Fox Point to have a major theft, but Fox Point Police are trying to catch some criminals who stole more than $30,000 worth of electronics. At 6:21 a.m. on July 21, police were dispatched to the now-closed Aurora Clinic, 8675 North Port Washington Rd. The clinic is under construction as it's renovated into an electronic medical records training facility. Fox Point police spoke with a cleaning crew employee who said, according to the report, that around 5:45 a.m., he noticed plastic packaging material blowing around the north parking lot of the property.
