Young Bicyclist Caught With Booze in Backpack

The 15-year-old boy attempted to evade police on his bicycle when they spotted him out past curfew.

A 15-year-old bicyclist had two beers and a bottle of champagne in his backpack when he was caught by Fox Point police last week. The boy was riding his bicycle east on Dean Road on April 20 at 1:11 a.m. – well past curfew. When he saw the Fox Point squad car, he made a quick u-turn on Dean Road, made a left turn into Indian Creek Park and rode through the grass and playground area before the officer told him to stop. The boy dropped his backpack down behind a bush, but that didn't stop the officer from asking about it. Inside the backpack was an unopened bottle of Korbel champagne and two unopened cans of Budweiser beer. The boy did not have any alcohol in his system, based on a breath test. Snow Cancellation Causes Shoving Match at Child Care Center

The latest Fox Point police reports also include underage drinking at Cardinal Stritch University and a domestic disturbance on Barnett Lane.

A 33-year-old Milwaukee woman lost her temper when the YMCA Dunwood Child Care Center closed due to snow last week. The woman took her child to the YMCA facility at 6:47 a.m. Feb 27 only to find the child care center was closed. She banged on the door of the building until she caught the attention of an employee. When the employee opened the door to explain, the woman grabbed the door and attempted to force her way in. The employee admitted to pushing the woman to keep her from entering the building, but the employee also said the woman was pushing her. The woman then called the police to report the employee pushed her in the abdomen. She said she was upset because she needed to go to work and she had no place for her son to go.  Neither …

Police Nab 2 for Underage Drinking

Concerned someone was stranded on I-43, a Fox Point police officer followed footprints in the snow leading from the freeway, to find a couple safe, but intoxicated and underage.

Concerned someone was stranded on I-43, a Fox Point police officer followed footprints in the snow leading from the freeway, to find a couple safe, but intoxicated and underage. Police took the two — a 19-year-old woman and 20-year-old man — into custody Feb. 22 for underage drinking. According to the police report: An officer was traveling northbound in the 8500 block of North Port Washington Road when he saw a pair of footprints in the snow. Concerned someone was stranded and left the freeway looking for help, he followed the prints which led him to the River Point Shopping Center, near McDonalds. Failing Officer's Geography and Math Quiz Leads to Teen's Citation for Drinking

Fox Point Police say this teen lied about his age and had trouble with directions after being stopped while standing at an intersection at 2 a.m.

A Fox Point teen with an established record was cited last week for underage drinking after lying to police and demonstrating a poor grasp of local geography. A Fox Point police officer was driving in the 8200 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard when he noticed a teenage boy wearing dark clothing and a dark backpack standing at the intersection of Spooner Road and North Santa Monica Boulevard at 2 a.m. Oct. 14.  According to the police report, the officer asked the boy what he was doing out so late and he said he was walking home from a friend’s house after doing homework. The officer could smell alcohol on the boy’s breath. He told police he didn’t have any identification on him, but verbally identified himself and said he was 19 years …

Tipsy Teen Snags Ride Home With Police

Someone called her into police as a hitchhiker and when she saw the officer's car, she began waving her arms to get his attention, and a ride home.

A teenage girl was cited with her third underage drinking ticket when someone called her in as a hitchhiker but really, she said she just didn't know how to get home.  According to the report: Fox Point police were asked to investigate someone who appeared to be hitchhiking at 12:10 a.m. on Sept. 14 near Northpoint Service Center. When the officer arrived, he saw a teenage girl walking south. As soon as she saw the officer, she immediately began waving her arms and walking across the road toward police. She said she had left a friend’s house and didn’t know how to get home. Speeding 20-Year-Old Gets Friends Busted for Underage Drinking

Fox Point police pulled this Fox Point man over for speeding, which resulted in a few preliminary breath tests for his underage friends who had been drinking.

A 20-year-old from Fox Point got his friends into a bit of trouble with his lead foot. The driver hadn't been drinking, but unfortunately for his underage passengers, they had. Accoridng to the report: A Fox Point police officer was patrolling along East Bradley Road when he noticed a car fly by at 35 mph in a 25 mph zone just before 2:30 a.m. on June 16. He pulled the car over and when he spoke with the driver, the officer could smell alcohol emanating from inside the car. The driver denied drinking, while the other three passengers said they were underage and had been drinking. Police asked each person in the vehicle to complete a preliminary breath test. An Intoxicated 17-Year-Old Arrested for Underage Drinking After Dropping Some Expletives on Police

He could hardly stand outside the van and when officers stopped over to make sure things were OK, he had less than a friendly response for police.

One adult and two teenagers got in over their heads when a boy in their group was so drunk, he could walk from the van to his home. Fox Point Woman Charged With Selling Booze to Kids

Suspect has been cited at least five times in the past year with selling to minors and devised a scheme to allow her to keep doing the sales without getting caught.

A 43-year-old Fox Point woman is facing charges after she got caught selling beer to minors from her Grafton liquor store. Bohdana Kucheras was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court Tuesday with one count of obstructing an officer and one count of fourth offense sales to a minor. If convicted, she could face up to 18 months in prison and $20,000 in fines. According to the criminal complaint: At 8:22 p.m. Dec. 9, a Grafton police officer was surveying Graton Liquor Store, 1310 12th Ave., when he saw two young individuals pull up to the store and go inside. While the vehicle was registered to someone born in 1957, police records indicated minors lived at the same address and one of them had received a citation for underage alcohol …

How many times does this have to happen in Grafton before they wake up?????? Does Grafton have to wait till someone is killed by an intoxicated teenager who bought beer from her store?? Crime Corner: Underage Drinking Snoozer, Deer Accident and More

Snoozing in the River Point Shopping Center usually would not be a huge problem, but at 2:21 a.m. it can look a bit suspicious to police. Fox Point police noticed an occupied vehicle in the parking lot at the River Point Shopping Center early Wednesday morning. In the report, officers noted that the lights were on inside the car, then off a few minutes later. The officer said the driver appeared to be sleeping, however due to recent burglaries at CVS and Walgreens and the fact that there are no open businesses at the shopping center at 2 a.m., the officers decided to check it out.
