Indiana Man Could Face Big Fines, Jail Time for Aiming Gun at Truck Driver

Suspect accused of pointing weapon at driver in a road rage incident on I-43.

An Indiana man is facing fines of up to $21,000 and just more two years in jail after being charged Friday for wielding a gun in a road rage incident that left a semi-truck driver in fear for his life. Mark I. Manning, 47 of Columbus, IN, was arrested Tuesday evening after the truck driver called 911 to report that Manning had aimed a gun at his vehicle while the two were driving on Interstate 43. According to criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court: The truck driver told police a man had cut him off and applied his brakes. The truck driver turned on his bright lights in response, and that's when Manning pulled out a handgun, aiming it behind him at the truck driver. Donation from Patch to Jumpstart New Nicolet Program

The Quick 50 program will receive its startup money from Fox Point-Bayside Patch.

A new program in which Nicolet High School students would receive rewards of up to $50 for tipping off police to problems with drugs, alcohol or weapons will become a reality, thanks to a donation from Fox Point-Bayside Patch. Patch is donating the $250 needed to get the Quick 50 program off the ground.  After that startup money is gone, the program will be funded by the Glendale Police Department. Patch first wrote about the program in December, when Nicolet police liaison officer Kelly DeJonge presented the idea to Nicolet officials. The only thing preventing the program from going into place was funding. At the time, DeJonge said the North Shore Crime Stoppers organization didn't have the money to launch Quick 50, "so the program has …
