Book About Witch's House Out This Month
"Mary Nohl A Lifetime in Art", a book about late Fox Point resident Mary Nohl and the famed art environment she created at and around her home is now available from the Wisconsin Historical Society.
A book about the late Mary Nohl and the well-known Witch's House of Fox Point is the latest in the Wisconsin Historical Society's Badger Biographies series. Mary Nohl: A Lifetime in Art tells the story of the local woman who transformed her home and yard into a fantasy land of art. She died in 2001, but her home is a national historic site, and the art inside the home and on the property has been preserved. From the Wisconsin Historical Society description of the book: Mary decorated the interior of her cottage with bright colors an eye-catching figures in driftwood and glass.
