Police Report: Vodka and Scrap Metal Stolen

About 30 gas line meters, valued at $4,500, were stolen off an unattended flatbed trailer in Fox Point last week.

About 30 gas line meter sets and other assorted scrap metal was stolen off the back of a truck parked in the Fox Point Pool parking lot. The gas line meters, valued at $4,500, were stolen off an unattended flatbed trailer in the parking lot sometime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 8. The meters belonged to KS Energy, who was contracted by We Energies to complete gas line work in the village.  The employees left the area for several hours and returned to find the missing equipment, which they estimated would have taken 15 to 20 minutes to take. Empty Vodka Bottles Found in Drunk Driving Arrest

The Sheboygan man's blood alcohol levels were three times the legal limit when he was arrested Sunday morning on Brown Deer Road.

A 31-year-old Sheboygan man's blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit when he was arrested by Bayside Police early Sunday morning. Police dispatchers received a report of a drunk driver leaving Open Pantry on Port Washington Road at 1:40 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle drove through a red turn arrow and drove over a raised median at Port Washington Road and Brown Deer Road.  When police approached the vehicle, the man had difficulty removing his driver's license from his wallet. Drunk Driver Threatened to Kick Cops in the Groin

A drunk driver who crashed her car into a Bayside street sign is facing several criminal charges after digging her fingernails into a cop's hand and threatening to kick him in the groin. A local resident told police that he witnessed the driver, a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman, crash into a street sign in the 9300 block of Lake Drive at 10:44 a.m. on April 7. The witness then watched her fall into the ditch as she walked around the vehicle to look at her shattered windshield and front-end damage. She tried to drive away from the scene, but a Fox Point police officer stopped her vehicle. She told police she was lost and looking for the interstate.  The officer gathered the names of the three females in the car, but realized the 19-year-old …

Turned out she had drove an hour to get there, sat 5 hours to bail him out and then got told to come back in a week because he was being "evaluated" for threatening to kill himself.   more ›

Drunk Driver Caught at Open Pantry

The store clerk reported the 26-year-old woman because she was slurring her speech.

A 26-year-old woman was cited for drunken driving after slurring her speech at Open Pantry early Saturday morning. The clerk at Open Pantry called dispatch at 2:06 a.m. Saturday to report the woman slurred her speech while in the store, and was headed northbound on Interstate 43 from Brown Deer Road. The vehicle later returned to the gas station, where police officers caught up to the vehicle. According to a Bayside police report, a Bayside squad car blocked the front of the vehicle from driving anywhere. Upon seeing the officer, the female in the driver's seat put the car into gear, but the officer on scene told her to turn the engine off. Bayside Police Find Marijuana, Paraphernalia in Traffic Stop

The 23-year-old Mequon man was cited for operating after revocation, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bayside police found marijuana and related paraphernalia in a traffic stop on Port Washington Road early Sunday morning. The vehicle was pulled over in the 8800 block of Port Washington Road at 1:46 a.m. Sunday. The 23-year-old Mequon man behind the wheel had his license previously revoked for drunken driving, and he was driving outside of the restricted hours of his occupational drivers license. Bayside police placed him under arrest for operating after revocation. While searching his person, officers found two bags of marijuana in his pockets that weighed a total of four grams. After a hit-and-run accident and drunk driving arrest, a Mequon man got feisty with police and hospital security guards during a blood draw last week.

Even after a hit-and-run accident and a drunk driving arrest, a 78-year-old Mequon man still had enough fight left in him to swing and kick at police officers and security guards during a blood draw at St. Mary's Hospital last week. Glendale and Fox Point police were dispatched to the area of Green Tree Road and Port Washington for a hit-and-run accident at 5:25 p.m. Jan. 14. The driver of the struck vehicle told police they may have a minor injury. Drunk Driver Got Lost Without Headlights

A 35-year-old Milwaukee man's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit when police arrested him in the Open Pantry parking lot early Sunday morning.

A vehicle driving down Brown Deer Road with no headlights caught the attention of police officers and eventually ended in a drunk driving arrest at the Open Pantry early Sunday morning. Fox Point police first noticed the vehicle driving down Brown Deer Road toward Port Washington Road with no headlights at 2:48 a.m. Sunday. A Bayside police officer witnessed the driver, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man, pull into the Open Pantry lot and attempt to ask the attendant for travel directions by yelling at him through the building's window. Drunken Driver Claims Cops 'All Up in His Junk'

After getting pulled over for his second drunk driving offense, a 23-year-old accused police of getting a little to friendly when they frisked him.

A 23-year-old Fox Point man was arrested for OWI after attempting to evade a police officer while driving drunk for the second time. A Bayside police officer on patrol in the 9000 block of Tennyson Drive around 3 p.m. Dec. 22 and ran the license plate for a car backing out of a driveway with a broken side mirror, and the registration came back expired. It also told police the registered owner had a revoked license for a prior OWI conviction.  The officer began turning around to catch up to the car when the driver made several evasive turns at high speeds, according to the report. Runaway Teens Try to Take Stolen Car, Playboy Blankie to Canada

Two teens stole a car in Illinois and were busted in Bayside when they got in a fender bender, foiling their plot to run away to Canada for what they thought was the recently legalized marijuana and lower drinking age.

Bayside police foiled the plans of two teenage boys after they stole a car and tried to run away to Canada for they thought was recently legalized marijuana, and lower drinking age there. Among the items they brought along were a Google map to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and a Playboy blanket. Bayside police were patrolling the Brown Deer and Port Washington roads intersection just before 11 a.m. on Dec. 23 when they witnessed a car accident, according to their report. A car with Illinois plates making a right-hand turn on red didn’t yield to oncoming traffic and sideswiped another driver, alerting police with the loud crunching sound as the cars collided, the report said.
