What's Your Favorite Christmas Song?

Christmas tunes are on the airwaves: tell us which songs get you into the holiday spirit by posting a comment below.

Five Unlocked Vehicles Rummaged Through in Fox Point and Bayside

Four Bayside residents and one Fox Point resident reported their vehicles had been visited by a thief the night before. A few were missing loose change, but others said items as expensive as iPods and GPS units were taken.

Four Bayside residents and one Fox Point resident reported their unlocked vehicles were targeted by a thief the night before.  In Bayside, the thefts all occurred on Friday and Saturday evenings, into the early morning hours. All four vehicles were unlocked and the thief made off with a Verizon router valued at $100, an iPod valued at $150, and a total of $20 in change from three cars.  These thefts occurred in the 8800 block of North Malibu Drive, 8800 block of North Regent Road, 8900 block of North Santa Monica Boulevard. Two cars were sifted through in the 100 block of Glencoe Place.  With this many thefts, some may ask why fingerprints can't be used to identify the thief. That sucks. Having had my car broken into (not while at home) I know how much this can sting. I guess I don't understand though why fingerprints were not taken at least from the door handles and edges of the doors (where prints are quite easy to get). Text, Voicemail and E-mail Notifications for Fox Point-Bayside Families

District installed state-of-the communication system over the holiday vacation and is experimenting with other types of classroom technology.

Parents with children in the Fox Point-Bayside School District will no longer need to look to Twitter or the district's website for time-sensitive information. Over the holiday break, the district installed a new communication system called Blackboard Connect. The new platform allows the district to send out emergency notifications via voicemail messages to both home and cell phones, text messages and email notifications. Up until now, the district solely relied on e-mail contact. “Today we must be prepared for emergency situations that we never could have anticipated happening, such as the bank robber apprehension on school grounds at Stormonth and the extended power outage at Bayside this past fall. Nearly $1,500 in Tech Gadgets and Remodeling Materials Stolen From Condo

Television, iPod accessories and home improvement products reported missing Thursday.

When this couple in the 400 block of West Willow Court noticed a few things had gone missing from their condo, it wasn't the usual list of stolen property like high tech gadgets, they also had some floor tiles and a $200 faucet snatched. Fox Point police met with the husband and wife Thursday at their home just before 5 p.m. According to police, the wife said they first noticed their 32" Sony television was missing Oct. 7, and discovered the following items missing Thursday: The wife also said several power tools belonging to the contractor working on the condo, estimated to be worth $500 total, had also been taken. Officers are still investigating and currently have no suspects.
