Cement Statue Crosses Village Lines, Ends Up in Parked Car

This family found their pumpkins smashed and a three-foot cement statue in an unlocked car that police later discovered belonged to a Fox Point family.

It was a not-so-happy Halloween for one Bayside family when they discovered vandalism and a strangely placed statue Nov. 1.  A teenager in the 300 block of West Manor Circle told Bayside police someone smashed several pumpkins in the driveway and left a three-foot cement statue of a small boy with a bucket in the front passenger seat of his unlocked car, the police report said.  He told police the statute didn’t belong to him and he had no idea where it came from. He said he called the only person he thought may have been involved, but that teen denied taking any part, the report said. Police noted that the boy he called was previously arrested for vandalism earlier in the year, including an incident the same residence.  For more of our …

Six Homes Vandalized in Bayside, Most for the Second Time

Police are investigating a string of vandalism incidents spreading two weeks across Bayside where someone destroys potted plants, decorative yard lights and more.

Bayside police are investigating another six incidents of vandalism this week including destroyed flower pots, shattered lights and more.  According to the report: Just before 1 a.m. on June 12, police received a call from a woman in the 500 block of East Bay Point Road who said there were kids vandalizing her yard. When police arrived, they searched the area but didn’t find anyone. There was a broken glass cover from her lamp post along with a large stone at the base of the pole. She is the same woman who had found her metal bench repositioned at the end of her yard two weeks before. Police also had discovered an empty 30-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon lying in the ditch the last time her yard was vandalized.  The homeowner estimated the …

Two Teens Caught in Theft of Parent's Jeep

They tried to burglarize a Fox Point garage, then led police on a chase using the K9 unit that ended near Cardinal Stritch University.

After a lengthy chase through Fox Point, a Whitefish Bay and Glendale teen were cited after stealing a jeep and rummaging through a Fox Point garage. At 7 p.m. Jan. 8, a woman in the 200 block of West Indian Creek Court in Fox Point returned home to find a young man running down her driveway from the open garage, jump into a Jeep and take off. According to the Fox Point police report, the driver of the Jeep actually waved to the homeowner as she drove into the driveway. After the teen took off, she went into the garage and noticed the passenger-side door of her husband's car was ajar. A leather wallet with no money in it was missing from the car. While a Fox Point officer was interviewing the woman, a dispatcher told officers that Glendale…

Sarah- Maybe I wrote something that was misinterpreted, but I took the articles to mean that there were only 2 involved as well. Any reason why the WFB teen got or seemingly got off so easy? They both were on hunt for places/garages to rob; they fled the scene of the "crime", they eluded police as they were being chased and it was a lengthy one from what the article states. Why not a barrage of …   more ›
