Milwaukee Art Museum's 'Color Rush' Exhibit Opens

Interested in color-intense photography? Here's your chance to see the Milwaukee Art Museum's new exhibit 'Color Rush,' and if you are a member you can see it today before anyone else.

Photography buffs will want to check out the Milwaukee Art Museum's new exhibit featuring the early use of color in commercial and artistic photography. The exhibit opens Friday and will be open through May 22. The museum also has plenty of opportunity to learn more about how these photographers used color in their work.

Local Student Art Work Featured In Milwaukee Art Museum Exhibition

Artwork Highlighted For 2012 Scholastic Art Awards From Feb. 4-March 4.

Nearly two dozen Nicolet High School Students were recognized in the regional section of The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards National Program. The program is conducted nationally by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, Inc., and is the major competition for student in grades 7-12. This exhibition includes works in 17 media categories selected from 1497 entries by a jury of 23 artists, educators and other art professionals. A total of 388 outstanding works by Wisconsin students grades 7-12 comprise the 2012 Scholastic Art Awards – Wisconsin annual exhibition, one of over 70 art regional exhibitions held across the country.
