Police Investigating Laptop Thefts at Best Buy

Two women took them into the bathroom and walked out without any merchandise. Surveillance footage shows one woman put her shoulder bag in the trunk of her car when she left. In total, Best Buy is facing a loss of nearly $1,700.

Best Buy was the target of another theft this week when two women made off with three laptops, a total loss of nearly $1,700. This incident exactly two weeks after a 22-year-old Mequon man thought he could sneak out of Best Buy with some video games jammed into his pants. According to the report: A loss prevention employee told Fox Point police around 1 p.m., three laptops were stolen from the store on Aug. 20. Two, Toshiba Satellite laptops valued at $399.99 each and one, Samsung laptop, valued at $849.99 The surveillance footage shows a car pull up with two women, one looking to be in her thirties, the other in her forties, get out of the car and enter the store. Preteens Steal Prepaid Cell Phones from Best Buy

After defiling them with nail polish, they returned them to police.

Two girls, only 12 and 13 years old, were cited for theft after stealing prepaid cell phones from Best Buy in Fox Point. The girls, one from Fox Point and one from Bayside, were at Best Buy on June 26 at 5:24 p.m. when store security recognized them from surveillance footage of a theft the previous week. Fox Point Police interviewed the Asset Protection Specialist who identified the girls on camera. He recognized them after reviewing footage of them from June 22 when they took prepaid cell phones, still in the packaging, into the bathrooms and snuck them out of the store. The packaging was later found by maintenance staff with the phones missing. Footage from the first theft showed the two girls entering the bathroom with the packaged …
