Per today's North Shore Now, the board plans to appoint Frieber's replacement to serve the balance of her term, April, 2015..... 2015 ! There is another option. The board can appoint a replacement until the next scheduled election, next April, and then allow the public to vote and decide who sits on the board. I urge the board to take the latter course. We want a voice in who serves on the board, not at the whim of just four people ( existing board). Also, Frieberg should recuse herself from any votes on her replacement.

FYI, whenever an elected board has an mid-term opening, there is always several paths available....an appointed replacement to fill out the leaving member's term, just being appointed till the next election or immediately conducting a special election ( which I don't support due to cost). If there is more than a year left on the resigning member's term, boards almost universally decide to place this position up for public vote at the next regularly scheduled election which would be April, 2014. ( tho the option to hold a separate election off the scheduled election cycle is sometimes considered).
We need to make sure we all have a say and vote on Frieberg's replacement as soon as possible, in this case next April. Thus, there would be 3 seats up for election. This is the fair and right way to do this. With issues with past boards, we must have a say on who serves!

You aren't running against the board. Who cares if they support you or not. Bit of advice. Be very careful about how you use social media. Watch what you say and who you say it to. Don't give opponents ammunition .

The true leader tonite was Alice Lawton. Great job. Lets hope she considers accepting board pres position.

And a big shoutout to David Braeger. I truly believe much of the board's turnaround was a result of his taking a stance against Boechler and the old board, including the threat of recall which really drove home the point of how upset the community was and is. David, run for office. Any office. We need people who care and are passionate, regardless of personal attacks on social media

BUT, I am not ready to embrace higher school taxes until I see a in depth analysis of spending waste ( such as Teachers On Call, a sub teacher outsourcing firm. Just another Boechler scheme down in flames. Boy did she have a bad nite!).

New superintendent, Boechler's schemes in total disarray and Amy Kohl resigning. And questions of ethical misconduct against Boechler and Kohl for paying their husbands to do District Office painting and carpeting. Can they really be that dumb or did they just think they could get away with anything? Unbelievable !

    What a nite. Yahoo !!!!

Don't forget the Buss Mgr's financial and expenses shenanigans ! On top of her treating staff terribly ! The new Super would be wise to talk to those staff who have quit over the past months to get the real picture.

Per the District's website, the new Superintendent will be at tonite's (Tuesday) monthly school board meeting. Great news! It also appears the board will be revisiting next year's middle school schedule. With Boechler resigning, next step for the Board and new Super is to take a close look at what's going on in the District Office. Low morale and high staff turnover. Both Boechler and the Business Manager are to blame. Both have treated staff extremely unprofessionally and poorly. Without any close monitoring of expenses by the Board, it appears the fox has been guarding the hen house.

Word has it that additional issues/concerns with the Distict Office actions will be brought up by a organized parents' group tonite. Everyone needs to attend to let the Board know there is still plenty of work to be done to fix the Boechler/Kohl damages over the past years. We need to make the schools and the District Office workplaces people want to work in or we will continue to see good people leave like the Stormouth principal.
