ReplyLet's not finish the job halfway or do a subpar job with this project. The hill was popular last winter, and since we know that it gets dark early in Wisconsin during the wintertime, it only makes sense to invest the money now and install lights for this popular Muskego attraction, otherwise people will continue to go to Valley View Park in New Berlin, where there are lights in place for nighttime sledding. It was the plan all along; let's not change it.

ReplyRonald, way to make a fool of yourself on here. I'm glad you're in the very slight minority about this project.

ReplyI'm glad to see a trail from Plum Creek to the High School/Racine Avenue. Many, many people use Woods Road after school lets out for practices and such, and this will make the road much safer for motorists, students, and athletes!

I would have to say there's a big demand by Muskego residents for a Starbucks. I have asked workers at the New Berlin and Hales Corners locations if they get a lot of questions about a Muskego Starbucks, and they said "absolutely." Starbucks would definitely succeed at that very visible and busy corner... I know I would be there too much! I would also love to see a Noodles, Qdoba, or Panera there!

ReplyHopefully soon, Muskego will be able to reinvent this property into a new downtown, just like Oak Creek is doing with the Delphi property, just on a smaller scale.

Nicki, You don't put businesses to a referendum. That would be outright foolish. You would see no company want to do business in the village because they wouldn't want to wait until the next election to build. Plus, with the mall located in the village, you guys would be voting ALL THE TIME because of the stores that come in and go out. Your comment makes no sense.

There's Bren, making sure he's the first to comment to spread his anti-Walmart propaganda!

ReplyThere's always the select few that like to preach to us on all the pages here about Walmart. Thanks for that, but most people would agree that this store will help this retail corridor and will be an asset to the mall area. Hoping this brings even more stores to the mall and 76th street!
