    @Lyle
I have said nothing bad about the teachers and yet you continue to push the idea that I have, please stop distracting.

Does a belief in creationism cause bad neighborhoods? If not, your knock on religion is just bigotry.

Your kids never attended a poor urban school; hence our experiences are the same. Just because you have talked to people who do, does not make you more qualified to understand their struggles as parents.

"The vouchers are taken advantage of for a variety of reasons. One is that the child has been suspended from the public schools. Another is a perceived sense of a safer environment and yet another is to provide their children a religious education at taxpayers expense." Are you saying the parents of voucher children are ignorant and don't understand what is best for their children?

How does putting voucher money and voucher kids back into failing schools solve neighborhood problems?

This coming from a man who supported a president that pushed Obamacare through (which stand against the will of the public) and then used the IRS to restrict conservative non-profits and steal the last election.

Those blinders you wear Keith are especially stylish this time of year.

Families have every opportunity to opt out of the any religious instruction within those voucher schools that are religious. Therefore, that complaint is made either to intentionally deceive or out of ignorance.

Insidious, wouldn't that describe every inner city public education system? What exactly would be the harmful effects of private school instruction? Religious morals? Anti-secular thought? In short, the negative effects vouchers is the inability of the liberal public education system to indoctrinate our children.

If you want the freedom to choose your own school, you must pay for both your own children and the children of your neighbor. Except, with public education, you must attend the school in your own rundown neighborhood, unless you are one of the lucky few taken by a healthy suburban school system under open enrollment and you have transportation. Lyle, MPS is a prison for most people in poor neighborhoods.

The neighborhoods don't change because when the kids receive an education, they are smart enough to leave. http://www.brookings.edu/research/papers/2012/08/23-school-vouchers-harvard-chingos

You still did not address why parents are willing to line up for vouchers?

So like my kids (Greendale), yours have the advantage of good schools; yet, you claim to speak for the inner city by claiming their best solution is more of the same. Even as they use more and more vouchers.

This might be a new record, I had to wait until 2/3 of the way through your blog for you to blame whitey again.

Which public school did your children attend?

If it is 'insidious' and 'there doesn't appear to be any significant difference in academic achievement between private schools and public schools'; then why do the vouchers get used up year after year? Why are parents taking every advantage possible to leave the MPS system?

In truth, the reason vouchers are fought for is because they project the essence of what is America; freedom to make our own choices. Liberals hate freedom and would rather imprison inner city kids in a failing public school system. As for the money, the reason you don't want it distributed to private organizations is because you can no longer be in control. The proof is that if you found their is no difference, what does it matter?

Does it allow you to change jobs if your current employer picks an option you are not satisfied with?

What is to made of a person such as yourself? You have entered this thread as the self appointed smartest man in the room. However, for a couple of days you have continued in this circular argument with Skinny and Steve that is akin to siblings bickering over whether is it sun is yellow or orange. It would appear that you feel insecure in your own intelligence and thus bully others as way to mask that. I am not giving absolution to Skinny or others; however, they don't enter threads as the authority of all things.

You should learn to stop hating yourself and find security in the knowledge you have, which might not be a knowledge in everything. That is ok. You are special just the way you are and we here at Patch love you for that.

Can you see 3-D with your rose colored glasses?

"I do, however, detest monolithic stupidity" - Unless it is Barrack Obama, in which case his omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence is not only true in all cases; but if challenged liberal zealots such as yourself are willing to fight to the death.

Again, you continue to help my cause. Thanks for playing.

So, you hate my God, I am a racist and you hate Bush, thanks I had forgotten that from every other post you have issued in my direction.

For being a MENSA man you sure are intellectually limited. However, thanks from proving my point.

I had contemplated writing a blog along these lines as a 'Part II' to a blog I wrote in October of 2012. http://greendale.patch.com/blog_posts/who-is-responsible-for-the-deaths-in-benghazi

If you read the comments in that blog, the liberals are saying the same things as they are posting here. In truth, the information that is uncovered is irrelevant. The liberal left of our country has determined that Obama is their greatest hope for re-writing our constitution. Regardless of the harm to the country, our freedoms or the view other countries have of the US; they will stand with their messiah until he leads them to the socialist promised land. Nothing else explains 1) The knee jerk reaction to blame Bush, Reagan or Right Wing Conspiracy 2) The blind eye turned towards Benghazi, the failing of Obamacare or the 1st amendment violations of the IRS 3) The complacent nature of the liberals to present inaccurate facts about gun violence, economy and taxation.

Whether or not Obama is directly involved is almost irrelevant. There is almost no portion of this administration that is not corrupt and his unwillingness to weed out the that corruption makes him an accomplice to the crimes.
