ReplyWell, if they intend to lower the acceptable alcohol rate from .08 to .05 while operating a motor vehicle for us, then shouldn't police officers be required to be at 0.0 at all times? I mean, I would hate to be pulled over by a drunken police officer.

ReplyInstead of lowering the measurement of intoxication we should first have a law that requires our lawmakers to have a higher IQ. If this were the case, then this whole issue would have never come up.

When we all start living in cardboard boxes and eating cat food, then the media (corporations) and the government (corporate cronies) will be saying how much the American workforce has improved. Maybe they will even issue us free coupons for more cat food.

ReplyConsider the American cost of living as compared to the so-called emerging markets. Don't listen to the media- the American people are not overly unqualified. We are just naturally too expensive for the corporate elites to consider. Take a look at our trade policy- it certainly is not for our benefit.

ReplyObamacare is so complicated that it is bound to go haywire. They are still writing the rules right now. Learn from our federal tax code: it is so complex that even professionals make mistakes in the filings. Oh that's right, the IRS is in charge of Obamacare, too. What a plan!

@Lyle The trend of migration to lower cost states has accelerated since the financial crisis. Interestingly, Texas did not experience the housing bubble as most of the rest of the country did. Why? Because Texas housing did not become over-valued to begin with.
As for Texas education: I spent two years in grade school many years ago in the Fort Worth area. When we moved back to Wisconsin our family was well aware that we had to play catch up. This has been a problem long before current governance was in place. And no, I don't have any kids currently attending school.
As for expectations: A recent Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel article pointed out that Wisconsin businessesi are losing over a billion dollars because of the American free trade policy. This is not going to change anytime soon. In fact, Obama is working on expanding this idiotic policy.

Well, if they are not accountable, then why should society be accountable? Could law enforcement actually be a reflection of the society that it patrols? If they go partying down the road at 2 AM, then what right do they have to stop us? Who gives the breathalizer test to who?
