The Milwaukee County Park System was officially started in 1907, created by a newly formed County Parks Commission. They envisioned an emerald necklace of parkland where residents could be renewed and inspired by nature. Since those early days, millions of park's users have relaxed in our park's regional attractions and played in neighborhood parks close to home.
