Milwaukee County Parks Come Alive on Snowy Days

The Milwaukee County Parks have come alive with the fresh snowfall. Come enjoy your Snow Day in your parks with sledding, skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, and trains!

Whitnall Park, located at 6751 S. 92nd Street, is a great place to hit the sled hill or explore the beautiful trails on skis or snowshoes. Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals are also available at Whitnall Park. Skis can be rented for $25 per pair for the day, and snowshoes can be rented for $15 per pair for the day. Longer rentals are available. After the fun enjoy a cup of hot cocoa at the warming house. Beverages for youths and adults will be available for purchase. The refrigerated ice rink, Slice of Ice, in Red Arrow Park is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee at 920 N. Water Street. Adults rent skates for $8; youth age 17 and under rent skates for $7. For families that prefer to stay indoors, The Mitchell Park Domes, located at 524 S. Layton Blvd., are the perfect destination. The Domes are featuring “The Circus Comes to Town” garden train show through March 10th. Come see G-scale trains wind their way through the floral landscape, making their way to the circus.
