Walk with Walker

Please join us for a "Walk with Walker"
Friday August 30th from 9:30 – 11am at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

We are pleased to announce that the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center has been selected by the WI Department of Tourism and Tonette Walker as the Milwaukee site to host a “Walk with Walker” As first lady, Mrs. Walker invites the people of Wisconsin to walk with her as she visits some of Wisconsin’s most picturesque trails, parks, and landscapes, showcasing some of the beautiful sites across the state while also promoting health and fitness. 

9:15am: Arrive at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. Parking is available in the main parking lot. Head towards the front doors of the building – if it’s slightly chilly or rainy people are welcome to head inside and wait of they arrive early. The walk will start from the outside of the main building. (There is no charge for parking or admittance.)

9:30am: The 2-mile walk through the Nature Center will be guided by two Schlitz Audubon Nature Center naturalists and take you through the largest undeveloped tract of land remaining on Lake Michigan in Milwaukee County.

This special event is FREE and open to the public.
